TOWNSVILLE DEVELOPMENT SITE SOLD FOR $2.4M
A high exposure development site near Townsville’s Stockland Shopping Centre has been sold by Ray White Commercial for $2.4 million.
The property at 331-337 Ross River Road, Aitkenvale, was sold in a deal negotiated by Graeme Russell of Ray White Commercial Townsville and Craig Herbert of Ray White Retail Brisbane.
Graeme Russell said the 5074 sqm property was purchased by Queensland Country Health Fund who plans to construct a new corporate headquarters on this landmark site.
“The property was previously part of the failed GPD Developments site and was originally slated for a GP Super Clinic,” he said.
“Zoned Sub Regional Centre, the 5074 sqm property attracted a lot of interest from local and national developers due to the high exposure location.”
Craig Herbert said the site enjoys three street frontages to Nathan and Wotton Streets as well as Ross River Road.
“The site also experiences high exposure due to its location opposite the new Myer Centre that is due to open before Christmas 2012,” he said.
